Some of our members are now attending this informal meeting. The organisers are offering free coffee and bacon butties to classic car owners and donating £1 to Acorns Childrens Hospice for every car that comes along.

We are meeting at the Marlbrook Pub carpark, 462 Birmingham Road, Bromsgrove, B61 0HR at 9am, You can meet us there or go directly to the event at Great Escape Classic Cars, Unit 26, Dunlop Rd, Hunt End Industrial Estate, Redditch, Hereford and Worcester B97 5XP.

Great Escape Cars is organising the first ever Cars & Coffee event in Worcestershire at its Redditch site on Sunday 19th April 2015 from 10am. Classic car owners can bring along their cars free of charge and Great Escape will donate £1 to Acorns Childrens Hospice for every one.  The company is also sponsoring the event with free coffee and bacon butties for classic car owners.

The Cars & Coffee event was created in America and has become hugely popular as an informal way for enthusiasts to get together, irrespective of model and marque. The Redditch event is being held at Great Escape Cars’ Dunlop Road site from 10am to 1pm and is open to absolutely any interesting car.

The new event is being organised by Great Escape to support the classic car community in the region.  Redditch and the surrounding area were a hub for suppliers to the Midlands motor industry from the 1940s to 1980s, with many small specialist suppliers still operating there. Great Escape Cars will also be displaying several examples from its 60-strong fleet.

“There are a lot of car clubs in the region but not that many informal car events,” explains Graham Eason of Great Escape Cars.  “Our new, larger unit means that we have the facilities to host enthusiasts and their cars so it made sense to run a Cars & Coffee event.

“We’re offering free coffee and bacon butties to classic car owners and donating £1 to Acorns Childrens Hospice for every car that comes along.

“If it proves popular we will be organising Redditch Cars & Coffee events quarterly.”
